Since our humble beginnings in the early 1990s producing a single Mapbook for Southwestern BC, Backroad Mapbooks has steadily grown and evolved to chart new territory and expand our line of products. We now cover Canada from coast to coast (to coast, with our new Northern Canada maps) and offer a wide range of products, from our classic Backroad Mapbooks to foldable waterproof maps, custom TOPO maps and mobile maps for smartphones and tablets.

One product of ours that is especially popular among outdoor explorers is our GPS Maps. These Garmin-compatible maps put all the cartographic and adventure information of multiple Mapbooks right in the palm of your hand. Easily installed on your Garmin GPS Unit, BRMB’s GPS Maps offer handy features such as routable roads, an advanced search function, GPS tracking, waypoint marking and more.

Not only do our GPS Maps lead the industry in topographic detail, with 3D views and easy-to-read contours and shading, but they are updated yearly, providing you with the most current cartographic and recreation information available on the market. Out latest Version 2019 Maps are currently available for every province and all three territories, and contain numerous expansions from our previous edition. To give you a better idea of what our Version 2019 GPS Maps have to offer, here is a brief overview:

Notable additions to our Version 2019 GPS Maps include over 4,450 km (2,765 mi) of new motorized trails for British Columbia, over 2,800 km (1,740 mi) of new motorized trails for Alberta, close to 1,000 km (620 mi) of new paddling routes for Saskatchewan, close to 4,000 km (2,485 mi) of new paddling routes for Ontario and over 600 km (370 mi) of new paddling routes for Nova Scotia.
