BC Waterproof Maps

Backroad Mapbooks’ BC waterproof maps cover areas similar to those covered by the BC Forest Service Maps, with more detail including more forest service roads, trails, up-to-date rec sites, fish species, paddling routes, wildlife viewing areas and more.

In BC, these waterproof topographic maps take you from Bulkley-Nechako to Smithers and Vanderhoof, covering the heart of the Nadina and Vanderhoof Forest Districts; the Cariboo region around 100 Mile House, Williams Lake and Quesnel; and Chilliwack Merritt, covering the heart of the Chilliwack and Cascades Forest Districts.

Heading north, the maps cover Haida Gwaii, or the former Queen Charlotte Islands; then east to Kamloops Interlakes, including the famed Fishing Highway; Okanagan Valley stretching from Osoyoos past Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon; Prince George Mackenzie, which covers parts of the Prince George, Mackenzie and Fort St James Forest Districts; and West Kootenay and the area north from Castlegar and Nelson past Nakusp to Revelstoke.

New in 2016, the waterproof map series now covers all of Vancouver Island, BC, from Cape Scott to Tofino to Victoria, with 2 great maps (south and north). We have also recently added an East Kootenay waterproof map, covering the outdoor playground around Golden, Fernie, Cranbrook and Invermere. Additionally, we now offer a waterproof map for Northeastern BC, covering the vast wildlands that surround Fort Nelson, Tumbler Ridge, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and more!  .

Ontario Waterproof Maps

In Ontario, waterproof adventure maps are available for Algonquin Park and the Bancroft District. Backroad Mapbooks’ industry-leading, waterproof Algonquin Park map offers more detail and durability than other Algonquin Park maps.

In addition to its tear-resistant, waterproof format, this Algonquin Park map includes fish species, topographic features including relief elevation and contours, canoe routes with portages and access points, trails, campsites and more. We have expanded our Algonquin Park map to include two maps in one, with one side covering the entire Park and the other focusing on the Highway 60 corridor. We have also included a canoe route chart with distance and difficulty, trails chart, expanded campsite details, stocked fish chart and more. No other Algonquin Park map covers the entire park with as much easy-to-read recreational detail as the Backroad Algonquin Park map.

The Bancroft District Crown Land Map is a joint effort with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Although it is still a topographic map, the notable difference with this map is the Crown land areas and concession numbers as well as the fish species listed in the lakes and rivers.

Also included are the popular Outdoor Recreation features of the Cottage Country and Eastern Ontario Backroad Mapbooks like forest roads, trails, campsites, paddling routes, Wildlife Management Units, and much more.
