| The spread of the mountain pine beetle has devastated the interior of BC. Backroad travellers will find a number of new roads systems have been laid out by logging companies in order to harvest the wood as fast as possible. These roads are being deactivated as fast as they are being created so our maps will not show many of the smaller systems. Please continue to send us your updates so we can keep the book as accurate as possible! | 2011 | ||
B3 | Access to Middle Lake on Mosley Cr. FSR is gated and locked. The Mapbook shows a gate on a spur near the lake, but the gate is actually on the Mosley Cr FSR near that intersection. | 2009
D2 | The road leading to Horn and Bluff Lakes is in fact called Bluff Lake Road. Further along the road, just east of Middle Lake is a gate (we have this gate on the side road…it is in fact on the main road). | 2009
C3-F7 | The Chilko-Newton Road is not a mainline (as marked). It is high clearance /4x4 long and windy track. | 2009
D5 | The road from Chaunigan Lake to Tsuniah (the northern route that traverses below Chaunigan Mountain) is no longer being maintained and is only ATV accessible. This stretch has many trees fallen over it and the crossing at Brittany Creek is not possible and has reverted to marshland. There is also a locked private gate at the start of the Tsuniah end of the road. | 2012
